It's one of the better Shakespearian redoings I've ever read, especially since the farming aspects of the storyline was so true to life. (Or so our Iowa-born-and-bred professor insisted...)<br /><br />The book works better than the film, and that voice over doesn't help. It all seems pretty strangely cast as well. I love Colin Firth, and while I don't think he was right for the role, it is interesting to see him so far out of his usual box.
