Onward I feel strange. For the first time since I left work I feel as though something is missing. For the past year and a half everything has been, when the games, you know the games, the games are coming. I hadn't actually though about the time afterwards. But I don't think I actually considered how intense the experience would actually be. Two weeks ago I hadn't seen a proper netball game, but by the final games on Sunday I was on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, screaming at the court during the match and more than that understood the action. Two weeks ago I was faced with a dozen strangers but by Sunday I couldn't imagine them not being around and cared deeply that I wouldn't be seeing some of them in the same way again...
Life I was just remembering this summer, so I thought I would time travel and post during the Commonwealth Games 2002. Just to prove that I'm sitting at my keyboard on the 10th September 2003, Cameron Stout won Big Brother 4 but Jon Tickle was the star; Britney and Madonna kissed at the Mtv awards and the biggest film of the summer is about pirates. Not that I have anything to say. But it's nice to have somewhere to leave random thoughts I might want to hide from new eyes ...
Sport I will not rest until I make Netball the most popular sport in the world ...
Zzzzz Still here. Currently volunteering, so few updates ...
Drifting Did you know 'easyeverything' don't have a change machine and/or over the counter change policy? Nice one, Stelios. Killing time before my training meeting before the two weeks of voluntary commuting that will be the Commonwealth Games. I've been somewhat living up to the site title of late, so I hope this will perk me up a bit. I'm taking you email silence as a sign that everything is OK with everyone. There's been something of a traffic drift from the page, but I suspect it's just that my regulars are checking less frequently until I get back online ... a few weeks to go yet ...
No! Spoke too soon. Finally get back on-line. Then move house and my modem has stopped working, and I've a feeling I'll be off-line for a while this time. It's actually OK timing -- I'll be volunteering at the Commonwealth Games for the next few weeks anyway and all the wierd hours in there. Yes, I'll be wearing *that* uniform (no laughing at the back). But I'm a Press Assistant, which is as perfect a choice for them as I can think of. My twenty minutes at Liverpool's only cybercafe are nearly up so signing off. Speak too you soon.
